Prices for higher end products are a joke. I think we can all agree with that statement; but there's something about having bought a product of this standard that makes it a notch above the rest! So when I had my prom make-up done at the benefit counter you have to then buy a product. Logically, I needed the lipstick to top up with throughout the night so with the help of Amy (the very lovely lady who indeed did my makeup beautifully) we settled on the colour 'Lip Service'
I have to give credit to Benefit for their gorgeous packaging! This lipstick comes in a plastic tube with twist-able ends at the bottom. A elegant lid that's transparent and comes within a box that has another lid on top of it. As the lipstick tube is plastic its incredibly easy to get rid of excess product that has slid during application.
Lip Service is a sheer nude/peach colour that compliments most skin tones. Its easy to apply however due to the sheer coverage you only get the glimpse of colour and it doesn't last a long time. In fact I wouldn't refer to this as a lipstick, more of a balm or gloss. The colour is perfect though. Suitable for a light layer for the summers eve or to layer up with a smokey eye (how i wore it at prom) for a glamorous night out!
At a pricey amount of £15 I honestly wont be repurchasing this. I've found other dupe's such as Revlon Smoked Peach with a thicker consistency and at a much cheaper price. Maybe another colour would change my mind but for right now I shall stick with under £10 lipsticks haha!I would also like to add that I'm a massive fan of Benefit as a whole and have a couple of products that I use constantly,this was just unfortunate.
