So if you dont follow me on twitter *plug plug @'fanofmcflys* you may not know that my favourite band is McFly. They've been in the music industry for 10 years and I have loved them ever since their very first single "5 Colours In Her Hair". As I'm a major, dedicated fan of them it was totally excusable to not go and watch them perform with two of the busted lads(who i also love) at the LG arena,Birmingham. It was my 6th time seeing Tom,Danny,Dougie and Harry perform and my 2nd time seeing James&Matt collab with them-the first being the Royal Albert Hall show. So I usually go with my cousin but unfortunately she was at a wedding so my other lovely cousin offered to take me and she was also pleasantly surprised with the performance the lads gave off!
To start off with, I wore my Royal Albert Hall top and teamed it with a pair of smart looking shorts with my trusty navy converse(you can never go wrong with converse...FACT) and a flannel shirt tied around my waist incase I got cold coming out of the arena. My hair was whipped up into a high top knot to keep it out of my face because those that go to concerts know you get VERY sweaty and my hair is really long so it would irritate me. So my cousin and I headed off on our venture to the LG and I was extremely excited but also feeling a bit emotional. I mean, I have known nothing different than liking McFly,they've been apart of my life for 10 years...more than half! It's great seeing them do what they do best and especially giving their friends a chance to come back into the music business considering they didn't want to give it up in the first place but things happen:/
So the concert was :AMAZINGLY GREAT!Anybody who has been to a McFly gig can tell you that the fact McFly/Busted write/sing their own songs and play their own instruments it adds to the greatness of their talent! They are so energetic,it amazes me. They played hits such as 5 Colours,Thunderbirds,Sleeping with the light on,All about you and to finish the show off they played Year 3000 with 3 giant boobies in the air which made the crowd giggle. Yes I was a bit disappointed with the ratio of McFly/Busted songs but then I thought about it; McFly are still around where as Busted aren't, this tour is about giving James and Matt that relieve of palying again and I understood the ratio then and because I'm a lover of Busted I still sung my little heart out to all the songs.
I came out of the arena feeling like a recharged battery. It's like I need my yearly dose of live music and it fulfilled me. My voice was croaky,my legs were shaking,my heart was racing,my ears were ringing and I couldnt keep a smile off my face. They really do make me happy and I could not fault the gig! If you ever get an opportunity to see McFly or even McBusted in concert I suggest you TAKE IT !Honestly, now my 3 cousins have taken me to see them and all 3 have come out enjoying it-they are in their 30s. The friendship they all share is obvious and the connection towards them and us(the fans) is electric.
Here's a few pics I snapped:) Thanks for reading! Sinead xxx p.s I've included a funny story at the bottom which explains how I nearly missed the WHOLE CONCERT, don't miss it! My cousin and I are a bit stupid hahah!

Hi, I'm glad you;ve stuck with me. Might aswell make this post long since I haven't posted in months. So funny story...well this tour was my very first arena tour because I usually go to small venues because i prefer it but I was excited to be in a big arena with thousands of people for once. I didn't know where the LG was,my cousin had a rough idea so we simply followed the satnav. We got there, parked the car and went on a search for the venue until we got stopped by a lovely lady. She asked us "Who are you seeing" and I proudly stated McBusted but my smile soon faded as we were told we went to the NIA(another arena in Bham) when we actually needed to be at the NEC where the LG arena was -_- But luckily we *finally* arrived at the right venue just in time and all our troubles were forgotten. That is the story of being stupid and nearly missing out on the concert!
