JANUARY ESSENTIALS |SINEAD

Evening! A happy new year to you all, I hope you've all had a lovely christmas and a great start to 2014.Hopefully this year will be filled with many good surprises but while we wait for those to kick in why don't I give you an insight as to what I think are the perfect January Essentials.

 First off we have this beauty. A spectacular range of lip balms by Maybelline called BabyLips. I'm pretty sure you've either heard of these and/or own some too(if you don't already I really recommend them!) so you will know what I'm about to describe them as. These lip balms leave your lips feeling smooth, its very easy to apply and the packaging makes the product easy to carry around with you albeit in a pocket or handbag. They come in a range of colours and flavours of 6 and have SPF20. The reason I believe you need one of these beauties in these cold months is because we all get chapped lips around this time of year and this little treasure helps cure that.They apply like a lipstick which means you dont have to get all messy and just a quick sweep of the lips protects you from sore lips.

Next on my list is the good old trick of moisturiser. I know sooo many people that dont moisturise and they complain of dry skin but still carry on to do nothing about it.I'll admit I don't use it as often as I should but that's just my overall laziness! This isn't my usual moisturiser though, I usually use Simple as it's not harsh to my skin and I have reoccurring spots constantly in the same place but this has been a great product to have as a fill in (which reminds me I really need to buy my simple) although I don't know about the brand. Like the lip balm,winter is the coldest time of the year causing your sky to get very dry and tight so as soon as you apply this your skin instantly thanks you!


Below I hope you can notice my beautiful,if I do say so myself, array of socks. These cold months can take it's toll on our bodies but the way to keep warm the most is by keeping those tootsies nice and toasty!I think most of my collection of socks are from New look and you might be able to tell...I like animals.

The big thing that keeps me the most warm in the winter is the jumpers!Jumpers are a must in everybodys wardrobe and with a variety of styles,colours and sizes nobody has an excuse to have purchased one. They keep your arms warm and they trap the heat inside your body whilst still looking fabulous on the outside.My favourite two jumpers at the moment are my navy and white striped jumper with frilly white lace collar from Primark and my gorgeous woolly burgundy jumper with bits of sparkle in it from George,ASDA. These aren't expensive jumpers but they are very very warm and beautiful!


And finally to finish off your January essentials I have included the best thing ever invented...WATERPROOF MASCARA!! Now if your eyes are like mine,they stream with tears but never stop and I'm always conscious that I'll walk into school with black lines down my face. The waterproof mascara I am loving using right now is 'Maybelline The Falsies'. I have heard people raving about this product so I tried it out and fell in love with it.It has a curved wand that extends the lashes while making them waterproof - what's not to love?
