Last week I went on a trip with my drama class to the MAC theatre in Birmingham to watch a performance of Hansel&Gretal(which was better than I expected it to be and the cast were brilliant!)for our GCSE's. As my mum had bought me some clothes for Christmas I decided on giving them a whirl and putting them together in an outfit so here is what I have got!
Let's work from the top down shall we? My lovely mum bought me a black chiffon shirt from New Look that was £17.99 .I really loved the style of this shirt as the top button was the only one visible unlike most shirts. There was a layer of material covering up the button so it simply looked as though I only had one button haha!
Next its my favourite piece of clothing...all inspired from my Autumn/Winter look 2013 which can be read here... THE TARTAN SKIRT. Yes I had waited for one for ages and now as soon as I spotted this in Select(£8!Bargain or what?!) I couldn't resist! The material being stretchy is great as when you're out for a meal you can eat as much as you want and not feel too bloated with the pressure of a zip or button about to pop!I wore my skirt quite high around my waist and it came to just above the knee so its very appropriate and not too short(it was also paired with tights). The picture really doesn't do this skirt any justice, the skirt is a MUCH darker red and as my camera didn't like me today HERE is where you can see the colour better.
Now time for the big accessory. Its a very bold move for me as I usually just wear a pretty simple chain but recently I've been digging statement necklace's, they just make the whole outfit work together! This particular necklace is from New Look again and it's price was £8. I bought this in October with my birthday money and I think this is the most I have ever spent on an item of jewellery. Its chunky but the little black and white image in the centre adds a bit of character,it makes me think of something a very posh lady in Downton Abbey would wear!I wore this round my collar of my shirt and it stood out great alongside the black.
So that was my OOTD for my trip to the theatre which i hope you all liked.I paired this outfit with some black tights which were more than likely from Primark and some black ankle boots that I got for a Christmas present last year.Hope you all enjoyed this little piece and if you would like to see what else I get up to you can find me on : twitter- @fanofmcflys and instagram- @itastelikecherrycola . Bye for now friends(AND BE SURE TO FOLLOW AND TELL PEOPLE ABOUT US WE<3YOU)
